Cory Jackson. AMFT

Hello, I’m Cory, a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I know how hard it can be to feel stuck, anxious, disconnected, or overwhelmed by patterns that seem difficult to change. My goal is to offer a space where you don’t have to go through it alone—a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and begin moving toward the life and relationships you want. Therapy with me is real, collaborative, grounded in compassion, and focused on helping you better understand yourself while building practical tools for change.

My work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps people recognize the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns of coping. I appreciate CBT because it is both thoughtful and practical, allowing therapy to be reflective while also giving clients tools they can use in everyday life. I adapt this approach to meet the needs of each person, couple, or family I work with.

I have experience in the mental health and counseling field, with over 15 years of experience. Most recently, I attended California State University, East Bay, where I graduated with my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in the spring of 2025. I am currently working under the supervision of Kristie Potter, LMFT, at Inner Strength Counseling Services in San Ramon.

I have a special interest in working with clients navigating trauma and PTSD, addiction, neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism, children and teens, couples, and families. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life, and I strive to create a space that feels professional, safe, warm, and human. I hope that therapy can be a place where you feel supported, not just in managing symptoms, but in growing into a fuller and more grounded version of yourself.

In my spare time, I can usually be found enjoying different shades of nerddom, from collecting vinyl records to reading, watching my favorite shows, or playing board games with friends. I believe therapy does not have to feel cold or overly formal, and I value bringing warmth, personality, and genuine connection into the work I do.
